   I doubt it

   I am starting to think of leaving south africa as well now
   I were always one of those who was proud of my country and will die for it but after i heard that yet another claim for land has been put on one of my favorite towns i am starting to wonder.

   How far will i still be able to see the good in all of this
   I mean our education system is going down (no more HG or SG, no more decent subjects)
   Tyres get burned on roads just to get the governments attention. Taxi’s making their own roads where they want it to be
   They tried to steal my car twice in a months time (the first insurance installment hasn’t even gone off yet)

   Is it really worth going through all of this for a country who says that it is a democratic country when it clearly isn’t for a country who is still discriminating against its citizens?

   I agree with SA girl. It’s pointless. There’s nothing to return to and no future to look forward to. Why oh why would you want to return to South Africa when you live in a better country like Australia for instance? At least you have a decent job over there, the best schools for your children, a safe environment etc etc. Be thankful. I still live here and let me tell you, South Africa is a living nightmare.

   No ways not in our life time thousands of South Africans are still leaving because of the terrible violent crime ,rape and high jacking , but many illigal imagrants are comming in every day. Yes there is a trickel of whites coming back for their own personel reasons . Some stay others just move on to Australia.

   I am dead certain that many South Africans hanker after the South Africa they knew but when they look at the reality of it today then they understand they would never go back unless there was a change in Government and politics. The Homecoming Revolution has and is a complete disaster and the only other thing that comes to mind is those on a 2 year visa who cannot get it extended.
   The ANC would freak if there was a mass move to return to South Africa which would mean stepping up the genocide or making sure they could not get employment so they would leave again.
   I think most of what you read is wishful thinking but reality strikes and then they have to face the facts. For many it must be difficult to settle in the Northern hemisphere but if they get their thinking right and try to actively participate in their new Society they will soon settle. London is a very good example of South Africans forming little cliques and mixing only with themselves to the extent they will never settle. They also make the mistake of thinking London is indicative of Britain which it is not and in many respects is the antithesis of what the UK is.

   Most of my friends who left, left because of AA and job opportunities. Many new job opportunities have been created, but getting a job is still easier for the white males in the economies where they are. (SPECIFICALLY MY FRIENDS, I am not generalising here).

   AA and EE seems to intensify in the near future, so none of my friends will return as yet.

   I don’t understand why all the answerers that said it is not worth it to go back to SA got a lot of thumbs down…
   Since the majority of answerers said white people should not go back they got thumbs down, where are all the answerers with good points why to go back? Is it them that gave the thumbs downs?
   There is no way that I can go back to SA, get a job, buy a car, buy or rent a place to live in or ever earn enough money to marry or start a family… There is that little thing in SA called, affirmative action, and I’m a white male in my late twenties…
   Where I am now I drive a good car, rent my own place and save enough money to be able to ivest it.
   So maybe I can go back "one day" but that is FAR in the future.
   Secretly I hope rather to marry into another passport and raise my kids in a country where I don’t have to worry that they will be kidnapped in my hijacked car and have to watch while my wife is getting raped…
