We are planning a trip to Minnesota and would like a recommendation of ski slopes to visit.?
We are from the Wisconsin area so we would like a slope that is challenging but somewhat close to Minneapolis if there are any.
If you can go by way of Colorado, I’d definitely recommend hitting A Basin.

PS- I’d rather not do touristy things.

i live in l.a and its a very nice city if you want to do the nightlife stuff you may want to try going to bars and clubs that are in hollywood there very unique and cool. beaches are cool to but its also very smelly and theres alot of trash. downtown l.a looks nice at night from far away but as soon as you get close its very dirty and theres alot of bums so i wouldn’t suggest going there
i hope i helped

We had a great time there and we stayed at Banana Beach Resort – it was a great place to stay, good food, our kids loved it and we were able to arrange everything we needed from the hotel. There are dozens of restaurants there with local fare and US style food as well so food is no problem. We were just tourist so we did not have to worry much about groceries.

My wife and I are planning a trip in December and want to see as much as possible. Where is the best city/state to stay for the week making it easy to see everything in most of the states?

i would recommend staying away from southern new england (rhode island, mass, conn)…if you start in vermont (specifically burlington) it is only about a 3 1/2 hour very scenic drive to portland maine passing thru new hampshire( you would see the 3 most spectacular new england states)..if you ski, you would pass right thru the ski towns of stowe, smuggs notch and sugarbush..if not you can still explore burlington, ben & jerry;s, and covered bridges..

thru NH, you would come close to the white mountains national forest where mt washington and the presidential range is..nearest town is conway. nh…

then you would reach portland , maine and the rest of the southern maine coast…

from portland you can even head south 1 1/2 hours to boston depending on your time

do this loop and you’ll see the covered bridges and ski towns of vermont, the biggest and most rugged mountains in the east (presidentials) and the new england coast in maine..all with only a 3 1/2 drive from point to point depedning on how much time you take at each stop

My husband, son and I are planning a trip to Disneyland, Universal Studios, Sea World the first week in march of 2009. Is this a good time to go? are the crowds farely small? how is the weather? is it freezing? any info would be helpful!!!thanks
Nope, I mean Disneyland.

This is a great time to visit. we went to Disneyland in March not last year but the year befor and the average wait for the lines was 5 minutes , yeah it might rain but it didn’t and even if it does I don’t think it takes away from the magic. Spring break will be later in 2009 because unlike this year it being in March, 2009 it is in April. The only thing with it being a slower part of the year is that the park closes earlier then when busy except for the weekend and the other thing is that the fireworks and fantasmic are shown on friday, satuday and sunday so if you want to see them you will have to go one of those day I sugest Sunday because it is usually the least busiest and then monday is slow, of course mid week is the slowest of slow but you wont see fireworks. Also Costco has a pass that you purchase which is for Disneyland, Universal and Sea World not sure if you already knew that, just thought I would let you know. With Universal Studios I am not sure if they have fixed the backlot which caught on fire a month or so ago, I thought they were not going to open it back up until 2010 or so. But if you are going there for the rides and not the backlot tour then it should be no baring.
