Hello,

I have a question regarding on border crossing, lets say american border. Is it legal when you have 2 passports from a same country on you? Lets say 1 passport has visas, other one is new.

ALSO.

Can I exit american border with passport that has american visa, but does not have canadian visa AND cross canadian border that has canadian visa, but not american?

Thanks!

Many people have two passports from the same country – there are several legitimate reasons for peope to have more than one passport.

There is no passport control leaving the USA. You turn in your US immigration form either to the airline or to the Canadian authorities (if you are not traveling by air).

I have some Family in British Columbia and I hear there are MANY forests in British Columbia. Does that mean there are many forestry jobs there? Where else in North America am I likely to find a good job in forestry??

There are lots of forestry jobs in British Columbia
You will also get forestry jobs wherever there is a national, state or provincial forest, which is most parts of the USA and Canada

The redwoods in Muir woods are sweet. The Kibab national forest above the Grand Canyon on the Kibab plateau is nice to visit in the summer, the East Texas woods are nice too. I know of a rather nice pine forest at high altitude but, you have to be invited.

I would recommend flying from Los Angeles to Taiwan Taoyuan Int. Airport (TPE) to start your adventure. It’s nearer to LA than Bangkok by 1500miles and Kuala Lumpur by 2000+ miles, and from Taiwan you can travel from one Asian country to another using the services of Air Asia who are, not only cheap, but a great airline too.

http://www.airasia.com/tw/en/home.html

To get to Taiwan from LA you have a choice of Malaysia Airlines, Eva Air and China Airlines and in terms of price they are in the same order.

Whatever you decide, have a great time as I’m sure you will.

In the book I’m reading, the author speaks from the perspective of an English girl aged about 31 years. We know the book takes place in the late 90s, which puts her birth year somewhere in the late 50′s to early 60′s. However, when she narrates she speaks of measurements such as "a van pulled up, maybe thirty yards."

Being from America, I have little knowledge of measurements in England. Is this a typical way to measure? Thoughts?

Thanks all. This is greatly appreciated.

This is typical. We get taught lots beside metrics.

We will be in Niagara Falls Canada in mid October. I want to know what are the best parts of Canada in and around the Niagara Falls area, like foods, restaurants, nature, historical sites, ect. Please help. I’m from Texas, I do not know anything about Canada but would like to get some real Canadian experience while I’m there with the wifey.

The real canadian experience, eh? well…….Canada is very much like the US, so there’s not alot that you can see/do or eat that really makes us unique, however heres a few ideas: 1- try eatting "poutine", (pronounced POOTEEN) It’s french fries, with cheese and gravy on top and can be found at many places, but my favourite is at a place called "Harveys"’. They are a chain, so there’s a few of them in town. i link the website so You can view the menu.

(2) you wanted nature, well thats easy, in Niagara falls there is lots of hiking spots, my favourite spot is called the Niagara gorge. To get to it, go left on the Niagara Parkway(away from the falls)

(3)Historical sights, when i was in college i worked at Historic Fort Erie, so i recommend going there, also Fort George is a great site. They are both from the war of 1812 (you know the one where Canada ?Britain beat the US, Hehehe)

(4) Niagara falls has lots to see and do, theres wax museums and 2 casinos. I would also recomend driving to Niagara on the Lake, it’s a small little historical town, with shops, returants and a theater called the shaw festival. There are also several wineries to visit, and you should try the ice wine. Niagara ice wine is known as the best in the world.

Since you are going in October be prepared, that it could be cold, evan maybe snow, however it could also be warm, because october can be a strange weather time, so be prepared.

Anyone living in Europe or North America, if you can give me an overview of how much referees get paid and if you are a ref yourself how long it took you to get paid good money? Thanks.

Depends on the level games you are working. For example when you first start out doing youth games you may make around $20.00 or so per game. The upside is that the games are often short and you can do several in one day.

When I work adult mens, womens or high school games the pay is around $50-$60 per match. Again, sometimes multiple matches are available within one day. On a good weekend you could possibly pick up four or more games and maybe a stray game or two during the week.

The pay for working in say MLS varies due to several factors. AR’s in MLS and FIFA will make near $300.00 per game. The referee will make more than $400.00 per game or possibly more depending on his rating. These fees can also increase during playoff and cup games.

In general you most likely will not be considered for FIFA or MLS until you are at least a grade 5 referee (USSF). Reaching grade 5 can take several years but I know of some very young grade 5′s right now that started refereeing at a young age. One is moving on to FIFA soon and another is going on to MLS.

Hope that helps a bit and good luck.
